Alisson Becker will make history with Liverpool if he features in the Reds’ Premier League opener against Bournemouth at Anfield, which would be his 300th official appearance for the Anfield side.
Without a doubt, being a player with an important role during a long spell at a club is one of the dreams of many footballers, something that usually brings with it records such as most appearances, goals scored, etc.
Alisson Becker is on the verge of entering Liverpool’s history books if the Brazilian plays in the opening match of the 2025/26 Premier League against Bournemouth, as he would be making his 300th official appearance for the Merseyside club.
The former Roma goalkeeper, who arrived at Liverpool in the summer of 2018, is now in his eighth season defending the Reds’ colours, with whom he has won nine trophies to date: Premier League (2019/20, 2024/25), Carabao Cup (2021/22, 2023/24), FA Cup (2021/22), UEFA Champions League (2018/19), UEFA Super Cup (2019), Club World Cup (2019) and Community Shield (2022).
The team that has been Alisson’s biggest nightmare in terms of goals conceded is Manchester City, against whom he has conceded 24 goals in 14 games against the Cityzens. Spurs follow the Manchester team with 21 goals scored against the Brazilian in 16 games, with Brighton completing the podium, having beaten the goalkeeper 17 times in just 12 games.
For his part, the team against which he has performed best as a goalkeeper is Manchester United, against whom he has kept eight clean sheets in 14 appearances against the Red Devils. Sharing second, third and fourth place are Wolves, Crystal Palace and Everton, against whom the former Roma player has kept seven clean sheets in 14, 15 and 11 official matches respectively.
Spurs are the team the Brazil international has faced the most times (16 matches), followed by Arsenal and Crystal Palace, who complete the podium with 15 matches against the Liverpool goalkeeper.
In terms of victories, Tottenham once again tops the list, as the Brazilian has recorded 12 wins in 16 games against the London side, followed on the podium by Wolves (12 wins in 14 games) and West Ham (11 wins in 14 games).
Despite the arrival of Giorgio Mamardashvili, everything points to Alisson once again being key for Arne Slot’s side if they are to retain their Premier League title from last season and achieve the milestone of winning back-to-back domestic championships, something they have not achieved since 1986.
