Luis Henrique’s impending departure could trigger a double arrival at Inter, with Liverpool’s Curtis Jones closing in alongside a mystery attacking wildcard.
With the Serie A season opener on August 22 fast approaching, the transfer window is entering its decisive phase. Roma and Inter are both working to finalise the future of Luis Henrique, with the Brazilian’s departure now looking increasingly likely.
The two clubs have reportedly agreed on a €30 million fee, while Sky Sport reports that the player has given the green light to a move to the Italian capital. Roma, however, want to complete their pursuit of Rodrigo Mora first, with the Porto youngster currently their priority in attack.
Inter, meanwhile, have already begun planning for life after Luis Henrique and have identified Curtis Jones as one of their main targets. According to Goal, negotiations with Liverpool are gathering momentum. The English midfielder was notably left out of Liverpool’s latest friendly against Como, reportedly due to the ongoing transfer situation.
But the Nerazzurri are not stopping there. The club are also searching for a ‘Mister X’, an attacking wildcard capable of operating in several positions and giving Cristian Chivu another versatile option for his squad.
With Luis Henrique seemingly on his way out, Inter could therefore respond with a double swoop, bringing in Curtis Jones alongside a surprise attacking addition.
