Jamal Musiala sparked major concern after collapsing against RB Leipzig, though Bayern Munich have since issued a reassuring update on the midfielder following his previous Club World Cup heartbreak.
The playmaker’s evening was a whirlwind of highs and lows; introduced in the 69th minute, he found the net in the 81st, only to be forced off by the 86th. As he collapsed suddenly to the turf, Ismael Saibari immediately realised something was wrong, prompting medical staff from both clubs to sprint onto the pitch.
Speaking to ‘Bild’ following the distressing scenes at the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munchen sporting director Max Eberl offered a brief update: “The most important thing is that he is okay. As for everything else, there is nothing more to say right now.”
The incident comes as Jamal Musiala continues his search for physical durability following a bruising campaign. During the Club World Cup, the German international suffered a fractured fibula in a severe injury that also caused significant damage to his left ankle.
