The midfielder completed his switch to the capital after Madrid activated his buyout clause in full, concluding a long-standing association with Racing de Santander — the club he joined at ten years old and with whom he opened his LaLiga account this season.
Sergio Martinez, who is set to split his duties between RM Castilla and the senior setup, was integrated into Real Madrid’s training session amid a lengthy absentee list. Tchouaméni, Asencio, Mendy, Militao, Rodrygo, Thiago Pitarch and Endrick all maintained their respective rehabilitation programmes on Tuesday.
The workout formed part of the preparations for Friday’s trip to take on Betis (21:00 CEST, -2 GMT), where Mourinho had all available squad members together on the pitch for the first time since the starters from Sunday’s 4-0 demolition of Málaga completed their recovery work on Tuesday.
The ‘Merengues’ got underway with physical conditioning drills out on the grass before moving into tactical work, ball-retention, and interplay routines, ultimately rounding off the session with the customary small-sided matches.
