Hansi Flick is left with only Andreas Christensen and Roony Bardghji on the sidelines following Raphinha’s return and another training session for Frenkie de Jong.
Following a well-earned rest in the wake of their 4-1 triumph in Istanbul against Galatasaray, the squad enjoyed a day off on Wednesday before getting straight back to work, with Raphinha returning to full team training.
The Brazilian winger rejoined the main group, as did Frenkie De Jong, who has taken part in several sessions in recent days but is still awaiting the final green light from the medical staff.
Raphinha sustained a right hamstring strain during an international friendly in Australia in late September, which subsequently ruled him out of Barcelona’s last two fixtures against Getafe and Galatasaray.
His recovery means that Hansi Flick must revaluate the selection regarding his top scorer, just as FC Barcelona brace for a gruelling run of matches: Real Betis (17 October), Paris Saint-Germain (20 October), and Real Madrid (25 October).
De Jong could also earn a spot in the matchday squad. Sidelined since picking up an injury at the World Cup, the Dutch midfielder has now trained alongside his teammates for a full week and looks poised to make himself available for the clash against the Seville-based outfit.
The double boost leaves Flick with only two players out of action: Danish centre-back Andreas Christensen, who tore his left quadriceps on 20 September, and forward Roony Bardghji, who remains out with a long-term issue.
