Brentford, buoyed by an impressive start to the campaign following a comfortable victory over Tottenham Hotspur, pushed for all three points and broke the deadlock in the first half courtesy of a wonder strike from Kevin Schade, who met Keane Lewis-Potter’s delivery first time to find the top corner.
Keith Andrews’ side preserved their advantage until the final 15 minutes, when Lukas Nmecha turned sharply inside the box and drilled an effort towards the back post that was turned home by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who reacted quickest to tap the ball in and open his account for the season.
The draw keeps Brentford in the Champions League places with four points from a possible six, while Leeds United sit seventh on the same tally, trailing only on goal difference.
