Thiago Alcantara has officially started his new chapter with Barcelona, joining Hansi Flick’s staff as an assistant coach with a focus on tactical support and training preparation.
Thiago Alcantara experienced his first official day as assistant coach at Barcelona on Thursday. The former Barça midfielder rejoins Hansi Flick’s coaching staff as an assistant.
His main role will be to collaborate on tactical matters, supporting the planning and execution of training sessions. He will also participate in the daily preparation of sessions and analysis of the team’s play.
The club is confident that his experience as an international player will add value to the work of the staff. The start of his work coincided with the gradual return of international players to training.
Following Tuesday’s session, players such as Rashford, Kounde, Raphinha, Christensen, Ronald Araujo and Roony Bardghji rejoined the squad on Thursday. Both the Brazilian and the Uruguayan were among the last to return after their commitments with their national teams.
