
Argentinian referee Yael Falcon Perez will be in charge of the match between Seattle Sounders and Atletico Madrid, corresponding to the second day of the 2025 Club World Cup.
Argentinian referee Yael Falcon Perez will referee Atletico Madrid’s second match in the Club World Cup, next Friday 20 against Seattle Sounders, to be played at Seattle’s Lumen Field stadium, FIFA announced.
The match is the second matchday of Group B, after Atletico Madrid’s 4-0 defeat to PSG and Seattle’s 2-1 loss to Botafogo of Brazil.
Falcon Perez has been in charge of the Argentinian top flight since 2019 and has been an international since 2022. For his Club World Cup debut, he will be assisted by compatriots Maximiliano del Yesso and Facundo Rodriguez, along with New Zealander Campbell-Kirk Kawana-Waugh as fourth official.
Among the appointments announced by FIFA is that of American Tori Penso, the only head referee selected for the Club World Cup, who will make her debut on Thursday 19 at Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates and Juventus at the Audi Field stadium in Washington, corresponding to Group G.
