Kylian Mbappe maintained his ruthless vein of form to double the lead against Elche, converting Yan Diomande’s maiden assist for Los Blancos.
Following an opening goal from a free-kick involving Guler and Dituro, Real Madrid took firm control of proceedings before the interval to make it 0-2. Unsurprisingly, the strike arrived courtesy of the man who almost never misses: Kylian Mbappe.
Lurking right in the danger zone, the Frenchman slotted past Dituro after latching onto an inviting delivery from the right by Yan Diomande. Having faced scrutiny following his first few outings, the Ivorian duly registered his first assist in Madrid colours.
There was brief concern amid the celebrations, however, as Mbappe collided with Dituro whilst finishing and remained grounded, grimacing in pain. Even so, the No 10 dusted himself down to celebrate his seventh goal in six matchdays, matching his best-ever start to a league campaign.
