Lamine Yamal set for Champions League debut. After missing the first match through injury, the Spanish winger is included in Hansi Flick’s squad to face Paris Saint-Germain. Alejandro Balde is the most notable inclusion.
Barcelona announced their squad list on Wednesday, seven hours before kick-off, for the Champions League matchday two clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Lamine Yamal is included, having already featured in the match against Real Sociedad, and leads Hansi Flick’s squad. The Spanish winger has already proven his importance in the German manager’s plans, especially given Raphinha’s absence.
Lamine Yamal isn’t the only standout name on the list. Alejandro Balde also features, having overcome his recent injury concerns to be available for the match against the current European champions.
However, Flick will have to contend with several key absentees for the match against PSG. Joan García will miss out in goal, as will Fermín López in midfield, and Raphinha in attack.
The Barcelona squad list is as follows:
Szczesny, Kochen, Eder Aller; Balde, Araujo, Cubarsi, Christensen, Gerard Martín, Kounde, Eric García, Jofre; Pedri, Casado, Olmo, Frenkie de Jon, Bernal, Dro; Ferran Torres, Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Rashford, Bardghji and Toni Fernandez.
