The Portugal forward has revealed he will do everything possible to set up Cristiano Ronaldo once his compatriot nears the 1,000-goal mark.
Joao Felix has opened up on his desire to share in football history alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. Speaking to Diario AS, the Portugal international explained that once his captain is just one strike shy of 1,000 career goals, he will be looking to pick him out at every opportunity.
“When Cristiano is one goal away from 1,000, whenever I have the ball, I will look for an opportunity to pass to him,” stated Joao Felix. The forward is convinced the milestone will be etched into football folklore and admitted it would be truly special to play a direct role in the achievement.
The attacker also underscored the significance of sharing a dressing room with his childhood idol, both for the Portugal national team and at Al-Nassr. “We grew up watching Cristiano. He was the example we followed, and now I am living these special moments alongside him. We have to make the most of this opportunity, because we know it will not last forever,” he concluded.
