Neymar was involved in a heated altercation with the son of Robinho during a recent training session at Santos, according to reports.
As first reported by Globo Esporte, tensions flared after the young forward, Robson da Souza Junior, beat Neymar in a training move, an action that allegedly frustrated the senior player. The situation quickly escalated into a confrontation between the two.
Witness accounts cited in the report describe a physical exchange, with pushing and shoving leading to Neymar reportedly bringing the 18-year-old to the ground. Some sources even claim the forward struck his teammate during the incident.
Coaching staff intervened and both players were removed from the session as the situation threatened to escalate further. Despite the clash, Neymar is said to have acknowledged his reaction was excessive and later apologised to his teammate, as reported by AS.
The episode comes shortly after Santos secured a valuable draw away to Palmeiras in the Brasileirao. The club have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
