Brahim Diaz, who scored in Real Madrid’s win over Valladolid, said Endrick owes him a dinner for a bet they made before Sunday’s encounter.

Spanish champions Real Madrid earned a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid in La Liga on Sunday as Kylian Mbappe made his Santiago Bernabeu bow without finding the net.

Brahim Diaz secured Madrid’s win with a neat lobbed finish after running onto a long ball from defender Eder Militao in the 88th minute. “Endrick owes me a dinner, he told me. With that, I’m happy. He’s a player who is always ready, with a positive mind and working hard. He hits with both legs that break the ball”, he told ‘Real Madrid TV’.

“I knew Militao was going to put it there because he does it quite a lot in training. I made the clearance, I saw the defender arrive, the goalkeeper who came forward and I put it in a little bit,” he explained.

He also acknowledged that his team struggled to get into the game. “The start was difficult for us, but in the second half we played with more rhythm, moving the ball from side to side, looking for depth… but defensively it was a good game by the team. I’m very happy with the win,” he added.
