Barcelona remain optimistic to close Nico Williams’ transfer deal despite Paris Saint-Germain’s recent flurry of interest. According to ‘Sport’, the Spanish club expect an answer from the Athletic player next week.
Paris Saint-Germain, according to ‘AS’, have pulled out all the stops to try to sign the Athletic forward, whom Barcelona are eyeing for next campaign.
For the time being, the Parisian side have doubled the Catalan team’s offer and have the advantage of coach Luis Enrique. The Asturian coach was the one who made the younger Williams’ debut with the Spanish national team and knows him very well.
PSG’s appearance has caused concern among the Barcelona board, although, according to ‘Sport’, the Catalan giants remain optimistic about signing him. In fact, the Spanish club are confident that the winger will give them an answer next week.
In the meantime, Nico continues to enjoy his holidays with Lamine Yamal, with whom he has made good friends. Both are currently in the coastal town of Marbella, where the Athletic player’s final decision could be made.
