Marc Cucurella is confident about Spain’s chances of becoming European champions.
Marc Cucurella spoke ahead of the final between Spain and England, a match in which Luis de la Fuente has named him as a starter. The ‘La Roja’ full-back took the nerves off his shoulders and is confident in his team’s work.
“I think there are less nerves now than on the first day, when it was very important and you had to start off on the right foot. It’s been a long road, but this is a game to enjoy. If we play our football, we have a good chance,” said the defender on ‘La 1’.
Cucurella knows that if Spain do what they have done throughout the Euro, the chances of ‘La Roja’ increase exponentially. Spain are the only team to have won all their games.
“We have worked on our game. We know that if we have the ball, they are less effective, so we know what we have to do, counter their counter-attacks and if we do what we have been doing we have a good chance,” he added.
